How To Look Fashionable In Orange This World Cup

Did you see the match between Spain and Holland yesterday evening? 5-1!! I’m not so much a soccer fan actually, but when big championships start I turn into a real diehard fan.

Of course my heart goes out to Holland. So I made a little post about it. Just to celebrate yesterdays victory on the defending champion Spain.

When cheering for your country, people often let loose their style sense. Dorky sunglasses are put on, weird hats are on people’s head, t-shirts with laughable texts are dominating, but there’s another way. Watching soccer and still looking fashionable is really an option. So I made a little collage of items you could wear when your heading out to watch the Fifa WC or just watching at home with some friends. Because I’m from the Netherlands, the colours come in orange. Important too is that all the items are sportsmanlike, so you don’t look like a goof in high heels. This is definitely a pro-Dutch post. Sorry!

DUTCH – Heb jij gisteren ook de wedstrijd tussen Spanje en Nederland gezien? 5-1!! Ik ben niet echt een voetbalfan om eerlijk te zijn, maar als de grote kampioenschappen beginnen, dan verander ik in een echte diehard fan. Natuurlijk gaat mijn hart uit naar Nederland. Vandaar dat ik ook een post hierover maak. Ook een beetje natuurlijk om de winst van gisteren op titelverdediger Spanje te vieren.

Wanneer mensen in een juichstemming zijn bij voetbal, dan zie je nogal eens dat alle moderegels overboord worden gegooid. Nerd-brillen worden opgezet, vreemde hoedjes en hoofdtooien komen op het hoofd en t-shirts met lachwekkende teksten domineren. Maar er is ook een andere manier om een voetbalfeestje te vieren. Wat ik heb gedaan is een kleine collage van items die je kunt dragen als je de stad in gaat om voetbal te kijken dit WK of gewoon lekker thuisblijft met wat vrienden voor de buis. Omdat ik voor Nederland ben, zijn de items wel in het oranje. Belangrijk is dat alle items een sportieve uitstraling hebben, dan kun je ook geen flater slaan in hoge hakken. Dit is dus wel een beetje een pro-Nederlandse post. Sorry!
